The Tigers faced a tough Division II opponent. Shelby scored first with a goal by Joseph Hayes when he got a hold a rebound in Fremont’s box and shot putting the ball in the net. Fremont responded a few minutes later with a goal from outside Shelby’s box.
The Tigers had to play without his starting center back, Brian Garcia for most part of the game, including the whole second half. Mauricio Castillo had to step in to play Brian’s role as a sweeper and was able to do a magnificent job. Mauricio, Henry Kidder, Logan Claeys, and Carson Claeys were able to occlude Fremont’s dangerous plays efficiently limiting their shots on goal. The good passing game by the Tigers were leaded this time by CDM’s and COM”s; Joseph Hayes had a great game scoring the goal for the Tigers and distributing the ball well in the center along with Riley Garcia and Ryan Jenkins. Ricardo Bahena and Harrison Jenkins had a hard time getting shots on goal but were still helping drastically on offense. Brandon Rabe and Gabriel Gonzalez played a key role when stopping Fremont’s outside forwards and wingers. The Tigers ended Fremont’s winning streak and both teams are still undefeated
