Meet Recap

Welkommen, Herr Mueller! Direct from Germany is Mathis Mueller, joining the cross country team just last week and becoming the 5th member of the Boys Varsity squad. Luckily, running is a sport that translates pretty easily from country to country – go that way really fast, if something gets in your way, turn.
Mathis had a good first meet despite recovering from some respiratory issues. (Unfortunately getting used to new germs from across The Pond takes time and a toll – even moving from state to state can be a challenge.) Despite the extra challenges, Mueller ran well, coming in a few places behind teammates Slader Beyer and Ethan Sill. Anchoring the team was Kaden Olmstead, setting a new season record and improving his time by another 56 seconds. Slader also set a new PR by more than 42 seconds – these are both great improvements!
Once again, Will Kidder showed some grit finishing in a time a little above his PR even though he twisted his ankle and almost went down completely at about the one mile mark.
